Day 7 - It's D-Day
Day 7 - It's D-Day
It is the 7th day, the day of reckoning - everything I have learnt, all the issues, the reading and watching games all comes down to this day. Yesterdays session was fun as hell and intense at the same time. I felt more improvement on day 6 than on any other day. Being able to interact with more people in real-time helped step up my game a lot.
I'm Level 27 - 3 more levels to go. Lets do this!
I started early again after only a few hours sleep. I wanted to take advantage of the day before I had to get up for work again the next morning. The more time I have, the more I can do..!
[ ADC with Ashe has been my rock throughout this journey ]
After a few 'warm up' games by solo queuing (blind draft - PvP), my friends mentioned something I had no real knowledge on. I've clicked around the client but I didn't really understand what it was...
Masteries... Yes Masteries! Something which I knew I hadn't done the whole time. I didn't yet understand what to pick and why I was picking them. What was the reason or value (This is something I wanted to highlight from a Usability standpoint) I thought this was one of the hardest areas to understand.

[ Champion.gg analysis data of high level players to show what is the common traits - An absolutely awesome website. ]
Something I really love about League of Legends and Riot is it's API's. There seems to be a site for almost everything. The community helps drill down data and creates their own website to show awesome little things. As I had no idea about Masteries, I found the solution was to 'reverse' engineer and learn from the best out there. Cutting the learning curve down and finding what is the best thing I can do for Ashe in the shortest amount of time.
[ My Masteries really helped out with my game - Something I should have done way before if I knew what it was... ]
With a little help, I was able to purchase Quintessence of Attack Speed, Glyph of Ability Power and Seal of Armor. Using some of the guides from Champions.gg and speaking with my friends for help in what runes to buy to improve my effectiveness in-game. Something I could automatically see when I played, how it changed my champion's impact in my lanes and final team fights. After a lot of gaming I was finally getting the hang of my champion (with some obvious noob mistakes such as miss clicking my ulti.. all the fun can be seen below)
For this special occasion, I had to put a stream up to record the moment. Find out what happens below.... Will I hit 30?
[ Playing with my friends after a mammoth gaming session - The last game, can I hit level 30? ]
As I don't want to show any spoilers here, you can find my summary and findings on the Summary over on the left hand menu or click here
